Project Description
Arborist – Tree Bracing
Arborist Ben Folbigg attended the site at Bulahdelah to install a Cobra tree bracing system and conduct hazard reduction pruning on a Spotted Gum (Corymbia maculate) tree. The sling is designed to reduce the likelihood of limb failure. It ensure the tree remains safe and stable particularly during thunderstorms and high winds. This type of bracing is generally used on large branches and stems to maintain tree health, while minimising damage and impacts to the tree. The sling is UV stabilised and is expected to last the client up to 12 years.
Also in attendance to observe the operation was Port Stephens Council Tree Preservation Officer, Lee McElroy who took photos and ensured the activity was conducted in a safe manner in accordance with local government regulations.
While conditions were challenging due to the presence of reasonably strong winds, Ben was able to install the system effectively and efficiently.
